Join the Cathedral Parish as we remember all those who have passed from death into eternal life in a special Concert of Remembrance. We are honored to offer a special concert and prayer for Cathedral friends and family who have died. The centerpiece of the concert is the beautiful Requiem of Gabriel Fauré. A string orchestra and harp will accompany the choir. In addition, the Schola will sing motets on the themes of remembrance and commemoration by William Byrd, John Tavener, Robert Arnatt, Frank LaRocca, and John Bell. The traditional Gregorian Chant sequence for the Funeral Mass will also be sung. A special feature of the concert is the hauntingly beautiful Eclogue for Piano and String Orchestra by Gerald Finzi, featuring Cathedral Organist Paul Hardy.
