Farewell and Thank you, Ricardo

On behalf of Msgr. Jameson and the entire St. Matthew's community, we send our thanks and best farewell wishes to Ricardo Tobar, who recently announced a career change and his resignation as Coordinator of Social Justice, effective July 5, 2024.
Since his arrival two years ago, Ricardo has shown kindness, creativity, and dedication in working with the staff, parishioners and our large Social Justice community of volunteers.
Among our favorite memories of the ministry work that he led are last summer's Ice Cream Social for our Monday Morning Ministry guests, and the Social Justice Committee initiative to raise funds for the addition of a piece of art work to St. Matthew's conference area that reflected the diversity of our parish.
Ricardo shares a farewell message:
With a bitter-sweet feeling I am announcing my departure from my office of Coordinator of Social Justice and moving to a new position with the North Capital Collaborative Inc.
I am deeply grateful to Msgr. Jameson, Fr. Benson, the Staff, and the entire St. Matthew’s Community for the opportunity to be your Coordinator for Social Justice these past 2 years. I was always impressed by the generosity of everyone, always willing to volunteer, to donate and to participate in all the Social Justice events. Please pray for me as I begin a new chapter in my life, seeking to grow in my new career.

En nombre de Mons. Jameson y de toda la comunidad de San Mateo, enviamos nuestro agradecimiento y nuestros mejores deseos de despedida a Ricardo Tobar, quien recientemente anunció un cambio de carrera y su renuncia como Coordinador de Justicia Social, a partir del 5 de julio de 2024.
Desde su llegada hace dos años, Ricardo ha demostrado amabilidad, creatividad y dedicación al trabajar con el personal, los feligreses y nuestra gran comunidad de voluntarios de Justicia Social.
Algunos de nuestros recuerdos favoritos del trabajo ministerial que dirigió son el Ice Cream Social del verano pasado para nuestros invitados del Ministerio de los Lunes por la Mañana, y la iniciativa del Comité de Justicia Social para recaudar fondos para la adición de una obra de arte al área de conferencias de San Mateo que reflejara la diversidad de nuestra parroquia.
Ricardo comparte un mensaje de despedida:.
Con un sentimiento agridulce, anuncio mi salida de mi cargo como Coordinador de Justicia Social y paso a un nuevo puesto en North Capital Collaborative Inc.
Estoy profundamente agradecido con Mons. Jameson, P. Benson, el personal y toda la comunidad de San Mateo por la oportunidad de ser su Coordinador de Justicia Social estos últimos 2 años. Siempre me impresionó la generosidad de todos, siempre dispuestos a ser voluntarios, donar y participar en todos los eventos de Justicia Social. Por favor oren por mí mientras comienzo un nuevo capítulo en mi vida, buscando crecer en mi nueva carrera.
