As a part of the evening events of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians 36th Annual Convention being held in Washington, the Royal School of Church Music Children's Choir, under the direction of Robert P. Ridgell, will perform at St. Matthew's Cathedral.
The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) in America is part of an international, ecumenical organization dedicated to promoting effective and inspiring music making in worship and in the wider community. The RSCM choir that we will hear is the culmination of a week-long course for “experienced trebles” that will be in residence at the Washington National Cathedral during the NPM Convention. This course is considered the ultimate opportunity for experienced young singers (boys and girls) who have been trained in the RSCM curriculum since early elementary school.
