On Sunday, September 16, at the 11:30am Mass, we will celebrate the Rite of Acceptance and Welcoming with several women and men who have been discerning joining the Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Those who are unbaptized will enter into the Order of Catechumens in the Rite of Acceptance. Baptized Christians seeking to join the Church and receive the sacraments of Confirmation and

Eucharist and baptized Catholics seeking to complete their sacramental initiation will be acknowledged in the Rite of Welcoming. In both rites, participants will publicly state their intention to grow in faith and learn more about the Catholic way of life. We ask our parish community to pray for our catechumens and candidates on their faith journey.
