The Mainzer Domchor, the Roman Catholic Cathedral boy’s choir of Mainz, Germany, will sing for the 5:30pm Sunday evening Mass and will follow the Mass with a 35-minute concert that is free and open to the public.The Mainzer Domchor, the Roman Catholic Cathedral boy’s choir of Mainz, Germany will sing for the 5:30pm Sunday evening Mass and will follow the Mass with a 35-minute concert of choral music featuring this choir of boys and young men founded in 1866. The 60-voice choir, under the direction of Prof. Mathias Breitschaft, will sing three anthems prior to the Mass including the works of Durufle, Rheinberger and Bruckner. During the Mass, they will sing works of Victoria and Palestrina. The concert after the Mass will include the works of Aguiar, Bauman, Monk, Mendelssohn and Powell. The concert is free and open to the public.
