Our Lenten series, Encountering Jesus, continues as Rev. Raymond B. Kemp, Special Assistant to the President, Georgetown University, explores "Encountering Jesus in the Sacraments." Join us on Wednesday, March 26 at 12:45pm, or Thursday, March 27 at 7pm.
In his apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, Pope Francis writes, "The joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus. Those who accept his offer of salvation are set free from sin, sorrow, inner emptiness and loneliness. With Christ joy is constantly born anew" (1). Borrowing the title of noted author Monsignor Peter J. Vaghi’s latest book, this year's Lenten series will highlight ways in which we can strive to draw closer to Jesus Christ in our everyday lives and share the power of those encounters with others.
