The Byron Consort is an elite group of young choristers of the Harrow School under the direction of the choir’s founder, Philip Evans. The young men will be supplemented by adult choristers. They will sing music of Hilton, Morales and Purcell for a prelude to the Mass. They will also assist in the ritual music of the liturgy with works of Leighton, Byrd and Morley. A short recital program including the works of Casals, Lotti and Bruckner will follow the service.
