Breaking Open the Word

This Wednesday's Meeting

This coming Sunday we hear St. Paul write to the Galatians that "I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me" (Gal. 2:20). You are invited to come together to share how these and the other readings for this coming Sunday help us live in faith.

We will meet at the usual time of  7pm in the usual West Conference Room (accessible from St. Matthews Court NW on the west side of the Cathedral).

This week's ice breaker will be "What's your least favorite number?"

The readings for The Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time are:
1st Reading: 2 Sm 12:7-10, 13
Responsorial Psalm: PS 32:1-2, 5, 7, 11
2nd Reading: Gal 2:16, 19-21
Gospel Reading: Lk 7:36—8:3

Breaking Open the Word

Breaking Open The Word is an informal discussion on the readings for the upcoming Sunday. No expertise is needed. BOW meets in the West Conference Room accessible from St. Matthew's Court on the west side of the Cathedral. The discussion begins at 7pm and runs for about an hour. The first BOW of every month is BYO Buffet night where everyone attending is welcome, but not required, to bring some food to share. We begin the meeting at 6:30pm on BYO Buffet nights so there is time to eat before the Bible discussion begins at 7pm.
