Breaking Open the Word

Keeping the Commandments of the Lord

This coming Sunday we hear Moses say in Deutronomy, "If only you would heed the voice of the LORD, your God, and keep his commandments and statutes" (Dt. 30:10). Why not get together this coming Wednesday and share how this and the rest of the readings for this coming Sunday help us to hear the voice of the Lord, to carry out His commandments, and to obey His statues.

We will meet at the usual time of 7pm in the West Conference Room (accessible from St. Matthews Court NW on the west side of the Cathedral).

This Week's Icebreaker

This week's ice breaker will be "Do you have a favorite chair?"

Breaking Open the Word

Breaking Open The Word is an informal discussion on the readings for the upcoming Sunday. No expertise is needed. BOW meets in the West Conference Room accessible from St. Matthews Courton the west side of the Cathedral. The discussion begins at 7pm and runs for about an hour, finishing at 8pm. The first BOW of every month is BYO Buffet night where everyone attending is welcome, but not required, to bring some food to share. We begin the meeting at 6:30pm on BYO Buffet nights so there is time to eat before the Bible discussion begins at 7pm.
