We will meet in the East Conference Room.
The Mystical Revolution of Meister Eckhart
We need a revolution, a radical change in the way we live and even process reality. We can be plagued by miseries, suffering, selfish habits, and egocentric thinking that keep us disconnected from each other. Meister Eckhart, a medieval Catholic mystic, presents us with a mysticism that can propel humanity into its greatest liberation. He teaches a practice called detachment or letting go that we can bring into our daily lives and experience divine liberation.
Meister Eckhart’s mysticism sparks a revolution within. Instead of life revolving around ME, it revolves around God. This radical change in life then radiates outward from this transformed interior, affecting society and institutions. Eckhart, obedient to Jesus’ teachings, invites us to let ourselves go and let God be God.
In this series of five classes, we will experience the mysticism of Meister Eckhart, and we will apply it not only to our own lives but to our society as we rush towards a consequential presidential election.
