"Finding Joy in Waiting"
The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-56) helps us every Advent season to prepare for the coming of our Lord at Christmas. Our Advent Morning Retreat this year will look closely at the Visitation and what Mary and Elizabeth, through their relationship with each other, teach us about finding joy in waiting and how we can follow their example in our own lives.
Meet our Presenter
Heather Kinney, who grew up in Montgomery County, MD, earned her M.A. from Washington Theological Union and has served in parish and campus ministries around the country over the past two decades. She was Director of Faith Formation here at St. Matthew's Cathedral from 2009-2014. Her current role is Associate Director of Formation for Academics and Pastoral Placements for the Paulist Fathers in Northeast DC.
