In the Archdiocese of Washington and many other dioceses, the celebration of the Ascension of Our Lord is transferred from Thursday of the Sixth Week of Easter to the following Sunday, the 43rd day after Easter, which in 2023 is May 21. On the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord, the Church celebrates our Lord's bodily ascension to heaven 40 days after his resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday. You are welcome to Mass for the Ascension of the Lord!

On Thursday, May 18, 2023, you also are welcome to join us for Mass, when the regular weekday schedule of Masses and Confessions is observed:
