Sr. Sara Fairbanks, OP, PhD delivers a Reflection on the Lord's Passion at Noon on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, joined by members of St. Matthew's Schola Cantorum, for our traditional commemoration of the Lord’s Passion. Following the Reflection, at 1pm Cardinal Wilton Gregory, Archbishop of Washington, celebrates the Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord. Join us in the Cathedral for the Noon Reflection and the 1pm Liturgy.
There is no Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament or 12:10pm Mass today.
About Sara Fairbanks, OP, PhD
Sr. Sara Fairbanks, OP, PhD is Associate Professor of Theology and Preaching at the Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, MO. Sr. Sara is a Dominican Sister of Adrian, Michigan. Before coming to Aquinas Institute of Theology, Dr. Fairbanks taught at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Fairbanks' areas of expertise are homiletics, theology of lay ecclesial ministry, theology of preaching, practical theology and Christian anthropology.
