The Cathedral Book Club meets for discussion on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 7 to 8:15pm in the West Conference Room. The subject will be the highly acclaimed, "God's Diplomats: Pope Francis, Vatican Diplomacy, and America's Armageddon," by parishioner Victor Gaetan. The late Fr. Drew Christiansen, SJ's review in the Vatican newspaper La Civilta Cattolica states: “No other book explains Vatican diplomacy better than this, nor has Francis’ diplomatic style and extraordinary results been so closely examined.” The author will attend the discussion and offer some introductory remarks.  

As described on the book jacket, this work takes the readers to the Holy See to understand Pope Francis’ diplomacy.  It shows why it works, and offers readers a contrast to what Gaetan feels are “inadequacies of recent U.S. international decisions.”
