Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day, a federal holiday. Masses will be celebrated at 8am and 12:10pm only, and the Cathedral will close at 1pm. The Rectory offices will be closed. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will not be celebrated.
All are welcome to adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament this First Friday. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is held following the 12:10pm Mass until 5pm in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, located to the left of the sanctuary.
St. Matthew's Cathedral hosts a presentation on the Shroud of Turin, featuring a full-size replica of the shroud, on Saturday, June 3 at 10am. Join us for a fascinating look into the mystery of the shroud.
First Saturday Devotions are held after the 12:10pm Mass, followed by Hospitality in the West Conference Room.
The Married Couples Small Group at St. Matthew's meets at 6:30pm on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the North Conference Room. Married couples of all ages are welcome!
Students may register for English Language or Spanish Language classes in person on Wednesday, June 7, between 6 and 8pm, at St. Matthew’s Education Center, 1726 N Street, NW. Registrations will be accepted on class nights from 6 to 7:30pm through Wednesday, June 28. An orientation and training session for prospective lectors will be held Saturday, June 10 in the East Conference Room, 9:30am - 1pm. Register by Monday, June 5 by calling the Rectory.
Join other St. Matthew's volunteers helping with food preparation and/or sorting at Martha's Table. The food is delivered by McKenna's Wagon to those in need around DC.
