Parking Garage Open Late
All are welcome to a Memorial Mass (bilingual in English and Spanish) for Most Rev. Mario E. Dorsonville, Bishop of Houma-Thibodaux, formerly Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 7pm in the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle.
The Mass will be livestreamed on the Cathedral YouTube channel.
All are welcome to a reception in the North Conference Room following the Mass.
Penn Parking Garage is open until 9pm that night.

Todos son bienvenidos a una Misa Conmemorativa (bilingüe en inglés y español) para Mons. Mario E. Dorsonville, Obispo de Houma-Thibodaux, anteriormente Obispo Auxiliar de Washington, el martes 6 de febrero de 2024 a las 7pm en la Catedral de San Mateo Apóstol.

Death of Bishop Dorsonville
The Vicar General of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux announced on Friday, January 19, 2024 the death of Bishop Mario Dorsonville, who passed away that evening. Let us pray for the repose of the soul of Bishop Dorsonville, who served so faithfully here in the Archdiocese of Washington for many years. A friend of St. Matthew's, he celebrated many baptisms and weddings here at the Cathedral and ministered to our Hispanic community. He will be greatly missed.
